The Vice-Rector for Research and Doctoral Programs is responsible for coordinating and promoting research activities at Universidad San Sebastián (USS), as well as managing the university’s doctoral programs. This office sets strategic research guidelines, reviews institutional policies, and ensures the development of high-quality PhD programs that foster academic excellence and generate new knowledge for the benefit of society.

Additionally, the Vice-Rector supports the formulation and management of research projects, facilitates access to external funding, and promotes collaborations with both national and international partners. It also plays a key role in supervising various research and innovation offices, driving continuous investment in the university’s research infrastructure, and ensuring that USS remains committed to advancing science and addressing societal challenges. Through strategic alliances and partnerships, the Vice-Rector strengthens the university’s presence both nationally and regionally, contributing to the development of local communities and industries.
